Rena Germany is an Indian bakeware, kitchenware and hostware brand that makes affordable, efficient and elegant products. Inspired by the Netflix show ‘Bridgerton’ the company’s product designers wanted to create a collection that would capture the regal yet modern mood and feel of the show. That’s how The Victorian Afternoon Collection came to be.
We knew the collection needed its own identity to maintain its charm and personality, hence it couldn’t be launched under the general hostware umbrella. We decided to give this collection a micro-identity with the name ‘The Victorian Afternoon’ inspired by the English Regency Period. We used the colour muted mauve that was used for the products, as the main hue for the identity complementing it with darker shades and neutral creams. We created illustrations of the products too, with English names from the Regency Period to impersonate them. We used the assets of the collection across social media, packaging and print collaterals to create a connect with the audience and increase brand recognition.
Like the name suggests, through this collection we wanted to create a reverie of the feeling of an afternoon in the Victorian age, with a modern twist.
